my rex feels like its out of gas
let me start again.. my crx when turning, going over bumps ,and hard acceleration will bog out like its out of gas and if i give it more gas it just gets worse almost to the point of turning off. in my last post people said to check thermostat ground so i did and nothing was connected so i connected the wire back and it worked for like half a day. now my problem is back and i dont know what else to check i also replaced the fuel filter. Could it be my map sensor, or distibutor or maybe o2 sensor, is this even the right wire that i put back on the ground of the thermostat? also when this happens my check engine light comes on just while its driving shity

does anyone have any pics of what wire or wires go here please help

test your tps. if you got a short in your tps it could be the problem. i'll draw u a picture.
in a tps...it looks like this (kinda)
/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ (rpm range)
. /\
pretend that the arrow on the bottom is pointing to a certain point in ur rpm range.. the higher the rpm the more to the right it moves. so to the left is say...0 rpms and to the right lets say thats redline. if there is a break in either area of the line on top that area of the rpm will bog out and not accelerate. but the arrow on the bottom keeps going up and up and when it passes that point it will continue accelerating again.
use a multimeter and put it on ohms if you want to do this test. take the plug off the tps and there should be a 3 pin. i think its the two on the sides but im not sure...been a while. either way ur not going to break anything. if the ohm meter goes open circuit or (o.l.) u got a break.

Start with rice a roni's advice. Check TPS sensor first. Maybe it's your Fuel pressure regulator?? Doubtful, based on your description of the problem, but mine has given me similar symptoms before.
how would i get the code when it comes out if im driving when it happens and the light goes off instantly as soon as the car is finnished being a little bitch....

Even though the check engine light turns off your ECU should have stored the code in memory.
You can still check to see if you're throwing codes even if your CEL isn't on.

how full is yo tank?
I have a bad aftermarket fuel pump and the @#$#$$ tube fell off the pump!!!!!
I run out of gas at 1/2 tank. If I am low it will loose fuel at hi accel or on turns.

does your car feel that way on hard acceleration also ? what about pulling codes while the check engine light is already off and the ecu isnt flashing anymore how is that done

leave the ignit on, then the ecu will blink at you
prob code 16 if it is the same as me
I do have the issue cuz I dont let it run low anymore, but yes, if it got low it would do what you say.
I will drop my tank soon though and fix the tube
or
how is your timing/ dizzy/ wires?
also
gnds are a very posible source as others have stated
look in your factory manuals, vol.3(I hope you have one, email me if you dont)
follow the harnesses and check all gnds. they must be as tight as you would want the + on the battery

as far as i know all that is in good shape , well i leave the ignition on and the light doesnt flash but it will flash once when the car tripps but thats if nothing after that
also is it normal for the light to flash once when i turn the ignition on and once again when i turn it off it does this even if i dont turn the car on or off just while in ignition 2

code 1 on the ecu means ignit
check your dizzy and wires
old/cheap plug wires?
cap and rotor old or cheap?
replace them
look under the dizzy cap and examine the contacts
not a rex cap but u get the idea
http://www.trustmymechanic.com...g.jpg
scrape all spark plug contacts clean with knife
do same on the rotor outer contact
http://www.trustmymechanic.com...r.jpg
use pencil eraser followed by alchohol on remaning cap&rotor contacts.
also...
is your rotor wobbly?
it should be tight on the shaft(the shaft itself will have some rotational play but the rotor should not move in relation the the shaft)
are all the screw terminals tight under cap?
are all the plug wires plugged in firmly to the cap and plugs?

sounds like some wiring issues. pull the spark plugs and look at the ends. try new plugs and heet or injector cleaner. and is the car multi port or dual point.
its multi point but the code doesnt flash alot just once when i turn the key to ig 2 and off from ig2 other than that it doenst come on

when the eng is running look for codes after experiencing the issue
the ecu will flash once when you turn on the ignit just like every other light in the car.

lift up your pass side carpet and look threw the hole on your ecu cover with the ign on anf see if it blinks if so tell us howmany times it does

I had the same problem pull off the intake box the one right above the throttle body... my top valve wasnt opening all the way, so i took it off and cleaned the whole t/b .. works fine now, the only other thing is test your injectors...
