If you use a decent air gun it should take them right off. Make sure when doing this you have a good bit on the bolt head. Slipping off could make some problems for yourself. I would then take it to a engine builder or a good shop that has friendly people and ask there advice, they could help you out. Just put the cam gear in a vice or have a friend hold the cam with a rag. The best way i found is a healthy air gun,a 1/2 inch

Make sure you don't ruin the cam or strip the cam gears (teeth) w/ a vice

I used a impact gun. Put a towel around the cam and held it tight. I guess I have a monkey grip or something. That worked for me.

If you can't get it off I would recommend taking it to a mechanic shop and asking them to take it off for you. I have done that several times with different parts and have never been charged. Even if they do charge you, they probably won't charge more than $5 and to me it is worth $5 vs replacing a part this is more expensive.

It should be very easy to remove. Have a friend hold it while you use the impact to take it off.
