Default California ticket/laws

I live in san diego, CA and i just got a speeding ticket.

The CHP also gave me a ticket for my exhaust (its not even loud) and told me that any mod to the exhaust system is illegal.

Anyways i was wondering how can i clear the exhaust part of the ticket? buy a silencer and it becomes a $10 fix it ticket?

I was also told by another cop that these mods r illegal in Cali
-mods to lighting system (clear corners)
-aftermarket intakes (even AEM etc. w/ carb #)
-after market headers (he was like i dont care if they're DC headers with the stamp)

so is any of it true or just bs? thanks

Ones, i got the same ticket cuz of my loud exhaust right before i sold my car... I went to my buddys garage made a fake receipt like i replace the muffler or something and went to police station, showed them everything and they canceled my ticket!!! that one was on 110 bucks.
The only thing, im in Ottawa and you are in San Diego.... anyway, try to do that....

GOOD LUCK!

Here's a thought: don't speed in a riced out teg w/ clear corners and a fartcan. Then you won't get po'd on.

Why do you assume that I have clear corners? and why would clear corners be considered "riced out"? I just wanted to know if a silencer would clear the ticket. Your post had nothing to do with my question, are you just that bored at 2am to post a reply hating rather than helping out?

If you can prove that your exhaust is legal ( <95 dB), the ticket will be dropped, as long as its a fixit ticket. No need to get butt-hurt, if you hadn't bee speeding, you wouldn't have gotten the exhaust ticket. Someday you'll learn your lesson, hopefully this ticket was a step in the right direction

Its funny how you call clear corners "riced out" when both the black and white integras on your myspace has clear corners and that eg's tail lights....

Its not getting butt hurt, just don't post useless replies.

ok mang i know whatcha got to do

on your ticket look @ violations if you violations (either/or) CVC 27150 or 27151

then get your silencer thingy if you wana keep the fartcan (i put a stock ITR one on and it passed) call 800 622-7733 and schedual an appointment. basically they'll pop your hood, check your oil and gas and rev your car up. meanwhile theres a db tester thats like 1ft away from your muffler. if it passes they give you a card of certification and you present it to the court and bam!!!1 its taken car of. 1337 signing out

When I got pull over, the officer told me that anything after the cat could be modified because it doesn't affect any emmisions. Most cops in Cali are just dicks. If there's a carb number on any of your parts, it's legal. I don't know if its worth going to court for because the fine only cost $10.
