Weird smell upon turning on a/c
I just changed my starter out and now when I have the a/c on there is a weird smell, reminiscent of electronics burning. What could this be? All I did was change the starter and that is it. Upon turning on the car, after the car starts, I do hear the starter relay make a click and then that's it. Any ideas?
I'm fairly certain it stays throughout the time I am driving although if I leave my window down it kinda goes away. Any idea what might be causing this? I did disconnect my battery while changing the starter. Any places in particular that I should check?
it maybe maybe a bad electrical connection causeing something to burn ...
have you done anything to the car otehr than change the starter ?
if i were you i would just go back and do it all over againand make sure all the wires andverything is connected properly and wrapped correctly with electrical tape ... take your time and make sure you do everything exsactly ...
i really can put a pin point on it ... or maybe its a bad belt ... its never happened to me .. but i remeber when i was litte my parents got there car fixed next day a wierd smell came out of the vents ... it was a bad belt ... so just make sure everything is working properly such as the A/C compressor belt .. and everything ...
and it very well may be a component of the A/C system ...
sorry i could help more .
