exhaust question
friend has a 96 hatch and I have a 93 hatch........He has the RSR exmag gt II exhaust(straight line out one)....he doesn't need it anymore as he is going turbo and is getting a bigger exhaust. we were wondering how much longer his exhaust would stick out on my car, would it fit properly if cut? Or is it completely different in length and hookup spots?

Really man? I didnt know EG hatch exhausts interchanged with EK hatch exhausts. If thats true..you may have helped me out too as I need one for my EK and this would expand my options.

I'm saying this because the exhaust I bought for my coupe (granted, it's a coupe not a hatchback) would fit 92-00 coupes (excluding the EM1). This may be different for hatchbacks though.

*EDIT*
After further reading into this. The exhaust systems on 92-95 hatchbacks and 96-00 hatchbacks ARE NOT INTERCHANGABLE.
Sorry for the misinformation in my original post. Hope this clears everything up.

even if the exhaust is cut a little? I only ask because it is a free brand new exhaust..and is a little cutting is good then i would do it but if you have to "cut and paste" then its noo good

just do it. its not hard. all it is, is a pipe with 1 bend in it that goes into a canister type muffler. bolt it on your car, see if its too long, then cut the excess piping and weld it back together. the gt2 exhaust system does not follow the stock piping route(in most cases, civics being one of them), it goes straight back underneath the old piping route and bends to the side, so no need to worry if its interchangable or not it might just be the length you have to modify.

i knew it didn't follow the exact pattern as an exhaust, you make a good point with it just being straight pipe...so i will try and when i do i will show results. Thanks !!
