Here she was as of two days ago. Currently it is torn apart in my garage. I have pretty much everything torn off except the front bumper. Next week I am welding in new wheel arches and rocker panels and doing all the body work. After that, I am going to learn to paint.

I will post updated pics as this whole ordeal progresses.

Yep. Decided I am just gonna fix it. The car runs so good its kind of a shame not to. Plus I always wanted to learn to do body work anyway. The 60gal air compressor and mig welder are showing up this weekend.

 

is that even fixable ?

 

Yeah. It really isn't that bad. I have seen far worse. Basically anything is fixable with the right tools and time.

 

funny thing is thats the first rex ive ever seen that doesn't have a cracked climate controll. how are you repairing the rear quarters?

 

I found a place. http://www.pacollision.com that has arches for the 90-91 hatchback for $40 a side. I am going to buy those and make them fit.

looks to be a one of those red hots glasspack type deal

 

I've seen way worse..

We are up here in the 'rust belt'.. I've seen some seriously rusted away cars be welded back into shape.
