Default Car wont start after intake-battery had a fight

well i put an intake on my rex for a picture ( trying to sell the car ) and the intake and battery touched eaother and had a few sparks-smoke war... well i pulled it off didnt think much of it try to start the car yesterday and it wouldnt start... it sounds-looks like its gettin no fuel i check to see if i can hear the fuel pump kick in and nope..... anyone have any ideas???

check your battery fuse and the main relay you probley blew a fuse along those lines

That's why I put duct tape all over the positive terminal. Looks ghetto as hell but it saves my *** due to the intake being so close.

did you check your main relay or just your fuses? maybe your battery is even shot now? a little more info or symptoms would help, noices etc...

if it trys to start but wont run, do you hear the fuel pump priming? if not then its your main relay.

what do you mean by interchangeable? from 88-91? im pretty sure they are.

yea they are as long as they bolt up to your firewall or where they can reach i should say, ie. im using one from a dx with a b16

i changed the mani relay today and still same thing fuel pump dont prime and isnt kicking in can anyone think of anything? do fuel pumps just die like that?

i know this doesnt help your current problem, but it may help a future fight...

i just turned my battery around, keeping the ground next to the intake. youll have to lengthen the wires, but it works for me. i ousted my battery tiedown long ago, so it was just a matter of turning it around and plugging it back in.

However, I also have one of those big ol audio terminals on the postive side, that has a plastic cover (lightning audio, i think). Any issues I had with the intake grounding out could have been solved with getting that, but I didnt have it at the time. Not sure if the battery would ground to the hood with my reversed configuration withOUT the plastic cover...anyone else do this?

dude if you think your battery is shot take it to a parts store and get them to check it befor getting a new one iono im sur eyou know that already
