Default new clutch question

Okay let me explain my situation.
I just picked up a d15b complete swap, i sold the hydro tranny that came with the motor, and i'm going to wait a little while until i can rebuild this 91 si tranny i have. Until then I will be using the 90'dx 5sp tranny that came with car. If I purchase a performance clutch like ACT, for the 5sp dx tranny, will that tranny also work on my 91 si tranny when its ready to go in. Is the clutch for the dx tranny the same as the si tranny would be?

thanks

Part # pscb06 fits:
Honda Civic 1.5L D15 1990-1991
Honda Civic 1.6L D16 1990-1991
Honda Civic 1.5L D15 Wagon 1990-1991
Honda CRX 1.5L D15 1990-1991

I just spoke to customer service and this is what they said:
"Marvin@ProStreet:
Thank you for contacting Pro Street Motorsports' Customer Support! How can I help you today?
albert rieke:
Hi im interested in purchasing a clutch flywheel combo from your online shop
albert rieke:
i just have a few questions though
Ryan@ProStreet:
How is it that I can assist you sir
albert rieke:
okay, i have a 1990 dx, and i want to buy a performance clutch, but later on maybe a month or 2 from now, i will get a different tranny from a 91 civic si
albert rieke:
I just want to know, if the clutch from a 90 dx will also fit onto the si tranny
Ryan@ProStreet:
If you are getting a new tranny, you will want to get the clutch for the for that tranny
Ryan@ProStreet:
Let me see if the two clutches are the same
albert rieke:
the one i was looking at was PSCB06: Pro Street Clutch Kit Flywheel Combo
albert rieke:
someone told me it wont work because the splines are different. But on your site it says the product pscb06 fits civic 1.5l , and civic 1.6l
albert rieke:
just wanted to be clear before I ordered anything
Ryan@ProStreet:
The 1990 and the 1991 civic use the same clutch
Ryan@ProStreet:
The splines should be the same on both.
Ryan@ProStreet:
Is there anything else that I can assist you with today?
albert rieke:
the 1990 and 1991 civic dx and si use the same clutch?
Ryan@ProStreet:
yes sir
albert rieke:
Okay thank you, I'll keep that in mind, and look around just to confirm this, and then i will come back and purchase if everything sounds good.
albert rieke:
Thank you very much for your time
Ryan@ProStreet:
Ok, you're welcome.
Ryan@ProStreet:
Have a nice day.
albert rieke:
you too"

So they say the 1990-1991 dx and si can use the same clutch, any feedback on that. Want to be sure before ordering

88 has a 21 spline input shaft,,89-91 has a 20 spline input shaft..if you have a 20 spline tranny with a 212mm flywheel then you need a clutch for 90-91..if you have 20 spline tranny with a 200mm flywheel then you need a clutch for 89...if you have 21 spline tranny then you need a clutch for 88....

should i also get the flywheel while im at it, I don't plan on racing the car or anything like that to much. I just want a fun car to drive. The main reason im gettin the clutch is because the car really needs one. So do you think it's really necessary for me to get the flywheel too.

sorry I should have been a little more specific. I briefly read your post and did not pay any attention to the years you posted

I dont think its necessary to get a flywheel. What I would do is have your stock one lightened for 75 dollars. they will shed a few pounds for ya.

Pfft my clutch is gone son, i fried that thing, but yeah on a side note just get the clutch for your tranny, and if it's original tranny to the motor then whatever year it is, get the clutch for that year.
