12W7 or Type-X 12?
so which would you get? money not being a factor. the JL 12W7 or a Alpine Type-X 12?
RMS 750w
Xmax 29mm
RMS 1000w
Xmax 19.1mm
then again, I could get 2 type-x's for the price of the W7. are they really that much meter if?

all you need is a 10w7 in the High Output JL box.
Its 500RMS...so you can mate it with a JL 500/1 amp and it will be perfect!
the 10incher sounds like a 12incher...or maybe even 2-12inchers...but ive only had experience with the 10w7 in the H.O. box.

I worked with jlw7 and in the right enclosure with the right amount of power it a hell of a speaker. I compared the w7 vs the mtx 9500 and it was a close race. You can't go wrong with the w7. The only problem I see with the w7 is that the customer service is b.s. and all of the work to mount it. But get clear of that and you have a hell of a speaker. I liked jl when they first came out in the 90. Now that they got big they kind of have there head up there azz. But they can do that now because the products back them up.
