i have 91 hatch with a b16a1, when i get on vtec it bogs at 6000, do any one have any iddeas what could be causing this.

 

could be fuel filter. also, i once saw this on a customers car. he attempted to install cams himself and tightened the valves too tight. well he flatspotted the cams and when he would get to about 5.5k it would bogg and not go anywhere, as if the car was on a rev limiter.

my advice, check your fuel. and timing.

 

MOstly its Fuel, check the fuel system

 

LOw fuel, ur fuel pump or fuel filter is weak.

 

are you sure vtec is actually engaging? might not be!

 

i am sure that the vtec is engaging because i have vacf and it is set at 5200 i hear it and feel it but then its like i hit a invisible rev limiter

 

do you have the stock fpr? probobally the fuel pump though.

 

It coul be the distributor my homies rex bogged at 2,500 k and it was his distributor.
