What Pro-Rwd Teams are attending?

Who else is going to spectate?

We will be there all weekend, also attending the DSR open house on Friday.

 

I'll be there either Saturday, Sunday, or Monday.....haven't decided which day yet watching and hanging out.

 

I would love to go to the DSR open house...wish I were closer

 

Uh...yeah I'll be there, since its only like 15 minutes from my house

 

I'll be there all week! I hope NHRA just invites ALL Pro RWD so we get some good representation. What is the requirement this year?

Pro RWD eligibility rules for POWERade events

National Hot Rod Association officials have announced the Pro RWD eligibility guidelines for the two NHRA POWERade Series events in the 2006 NHRA Xplōd Sport Compact Racing Series schedule.

The top 10 Pro RWD drivers in the NHRA Xplōd Sport Compact Racing Series will be eligible to compete at the NHRA Sport Compact Nationals at the O’Reilly NHRA Summer Nationals, May 25-28, and the NHRA Sport Compact Nationals at the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals, Aug. 30-Sept. 4, the world’s most prestigious drag race.

Points earned during qualifying and elimination rounds by Pro RWD competitors at each POWERade Series event will count toward the Pro RWD NHRA Xplōd Sport Compact class championship.

It is the second year that NHRA Sport Compact Nationals have been contested at Heartland Park Topeka (Kan.) and Indianapolis Raceway Park. Defending Pro RWD winners of those two events include Matt Hartford (Topeka) and Brad Personett (Indianapolis).

The 2006 NHRA Xplōd Sport Compact Racing Series season opens April 1-2 at Moroso Motorsports Park in Jupiter, Fla.

We are staying at the Raceview Camprgound in our motorhome.

BUT we just realized if we only have the motorhome it may be hard to go to the DSR open house.(I will drive the rig there if I have to)

How far is DSR from the track?

Would getting a cab for a ride be a problem?

Saun Carlson will not be there, he has a drift event to do with Nick Hogan.
At least we get to hang with Apple.

Libertys Gears will be there, so if you guys have questions about the gearsets that is a good place to ask questions.

 

DSR is close to the track. It is a little far to walk, but would be a 3 minute cab ride. If you guys need a ride just give me a call 317-902-0200. There are a lot of shops right there next to them, Pedregon, Force, etc...

Apple will not be riding with us sorry, but she will be there for the race. Not even sure if she is going to DSR open house or not?

i agree....hopefully he can get it down the track in the 7 sec range....g/l to him.

 

Sorry Len, but NHRA really needs to reconsider having him there. That is the absolute last thing the RWD cars need to have as a representation of the class. I got 20 says it won't make a 9 sec pass. Any takers?

hahhaa I say they inite the CSI racing crew and lay down some low 7 sec passes at 200 mph with a FWD and really boggle the minds of the Domestic fans!

We are down here on vacation. I would love the chance to put the car on this track. just to be able to race at the US Nationals would be an awesome experience.

 

I'm on my way!!! I'll get there in a few hours!!! Hope to hook up and hang out with the CSI crew! I'll get some pics, too!
