Tie Rod..

Tie rod problem... maybe
My inner passenger tie rod has no grease in it. My question is would that cause it to clunk and groan horribly. If I put more grease in it can I use axle grease. I thought it was the outer tie rod but turns out it was not. Might have to take it to a shop, I have been unable to figure it out for some time now. It is becoming very loud.
