Basic hand tools. There are two bolts holding it on. Remove those and unplug the starter terminals. Replace in reverse order.

what size.. because i have open end wrenches here maybe i can use it.. also i disconnect battery right?

also why doesn;t my starter grind when i try to start it instead of click click?

i think its not grinding because the teeth is still good on flywheel.. but why is the click click?

Just use your bare hands, that's what chuck norris does, he doesn't use tools he uses his fingers, and if the bolt doesn't want to come off he threatens it.

They are 14mm or 17mm bolts if I remember correctly.

You will need the sockets, extensions, and a ratchet. I don't think you will be able to use the wrenches.

If you are only getting a 'click, click' when trying to start, check the connections first, both at the battery and at the starter. Make sure your battery is fully charged, just checking if the headlights work isn't enough. When an insufficient current attempts to engage the starter, you can often hear the sound you are getting.

disconnect battery (unless you like to see sparks fly ), remove electrical connections from starter, remove 2 bolts holding it on, installation is the reverse of removal.

That's pretty much the jist of it.

hondahookup.com

Get yourself a helms on there. Its seriously freaking easy, 30 minutes of work TOPS if you have to learn how to use a ratchet first.

you really dont need one, theres really only 2 bolts and a wire from the battery. if you have any mechanical know how itll only take 30 minutes.

i'm proud of myself.. because i installed a new starter wit basic tool that might of taken 2 1/2" hrs but i still did it... i'm very glad and it was a good learning experience.

however there was a few things that slow me down.. one bolt was longer on one side.. which took me forever because i was using closed end wrench.......

overall what i did was disconnect the batt wit a 10mm wrench took off my short ram intake... took the power wire off with a 14mm.. remove intake for more room.. okay located the bolts... found them... reinstall in reverse order.. next time this should only take me 10 mins wit the correct tools instead of 2 1/2 hrs..

thanks honda tech couldn't do it without y'all
