EF CRX GLASS SUNROOF.... ANYONE DONE.. NEED TO KNOW...
LOOKING FOR GLASS SUNROOF... RETRACTABLE OR JUST A POP UP/REMOVEABLE THAT WILL FIT INTO A EF CRX... FOUND OUT THE CIVIC SI SUNROOF WILL NOT FIT, COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SETUP...... ANYONE KNOW IF THERES A KIT??? OR IF A GLASS SUNROOF OUT OF A EG WILL FIT PERHAPS, OR ANY OTHER VEHICLE THAT WOULD BE COMPATIBLE AT ALL?? I HAVE A FEELING IF I GET ONE DONE BY A SUNROOF PLACE THAT MY EXISTING WHOLE WILL BE TO DIFFICULT TO FIND ONE TO FIT PROPERLY... ANYONE KNOW OF ANYTHING??? TIRED OF MY SUNROOF PANEL RUSTING OUT... ANYHELP WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED, THANKS
as far as i know othing else fits in the crx hole, i wish that the crx came in glass, i hate the metal. did you try the civic si one, does it fit the hole? or is it the track that is different
highly doubtin the glass roof is in my budget... and by the time i had it shipped to my door her in canada..... although they are sick, i know...but if i were to buy the glass roof, i think the whole RHD sir front end conversion would be purchased first
as for the civic si glass sunroof... i got a buddy whos got both assemblies (civic and crx) in his basement... still awaiting a reply... will post back up soon as i hear back
well i have both also, but i just dont want to go outside and measure all that. lol, i suck i know

i heard that the glass roof from a 89 or similar prelude is abit larger than the crx one but similar shape, and has been done before for a crx. now i havent seen any pics etc but sounds like its do-able just gotta get a glass shop to trim it. someone with more info plez correct me if i'm wrong. next time i go to the junkers i'm gonna grab a prelude glass if its available and i'll let ppl know!

You'll have to make it custom. No such thing exists on the market.

alright i took some pics, i didnt have a tape measure on me at the time my dad has the only one working we have. from the pics you can see that the front and rear edge line up perfectly, as far as i can see, but the sides are at least 1" or so bigger on the crx metal. ill get exact measurements when my dad gets home. i hope someone can get a fully functional glass sunroof for the rex, i hate the metal, since mine no longer closes i dont want to open it, so it useless. if it was glass i could at least look through it.

There have been a case or too where it wasnt the switch, and a bolt in the rear track comes loose, blocking the track.
But other then those few strange cases, he's right, you can be about 99% sure you just need to hit up your switch, which is a very easy fix to a substantial problem!

Actually, there is a company on H-T that makes them. Called "lightweight racing" or sumthing like that. They make CF and fiberglass plugs that rivet in. I don't know if they are for EF's but they're out there.

Rivets = not manually detachable. He wanted something that can be removed. Nobody currently makes such a system - just the plugs themselves.
