Meaning dont just dump the clutch out on the launch but feather it out smoothly

feathering is just keeping the rpm up while you slowly engage the wheels with the clutch.
If you just dump you'll spin the tires off with the rpm up high.
If you dump with the rpm low it will bog.

rite now its just minor mods: AEM V2 intake, Hondata IMG, B&M Short Shifter. this month im gonna drop it on Tein SS-p w/ EDFC and then Comptech E/H.
So while ur holding it 3k waiting for the christmas tree..when it hits green should u floor it while feathering the clutch or keep ur throttle position the same while feathering and then floor it once u take off??
I was told to floor it while feathering clutch but I may be wrong. i guess just try both and and see what times you run.
has anyone ever put a bag of ice down on their intake manifold to try and cool it down...is that actually affective between races???

about the iced intake, it works but not to effectively. I believe that for every 11 degree drop you get 1 horsepower, that was what some muscle car guy told me.
What also will help your time which I dont know if you did or not at the track is drop your tire pressure
does anyone know what brand makes good high flow cats?? ..i would comptech but i dont think they make them for DC5
ive got skunk2 on mine and it seems to do the trick but go for HKS and a good header. HKS from what i understand is some pretty good stuff but thats jus my .02

My best times on any given day always came when the intake manifold was cool to the touch.

Yes, pretty much. People with both a torque dampener and motor mount inserts say that the combination is more mellow than either one by itself, though.

no if you read the features and benefits on the ingalls damper. it says "smoother shifter, less wheel hop, faster off the line acceleration, and smoother driving"
its nothing but a benefit to your car
