okay I'm gunna finally ask why? Ive had my intake on for like a year now when i shift it makes a "psh" noise exactly like a BOV but not as loud. 1st i though it was b/c i had a bypass valve on my cold air but then i went to ram air and it still makes that noise. didn't do it with stock box wondering whats the logic behind it. friends civic doesnt do it nor a friends prelude nor bros eclipse.

its just a eBay cold air intake. nothing special

 

Each time you press the gas when shifting gears, it's sucking in air

 

my buddy had the same thing on his mk2 VW gti. it was really weird just started to happen for no reason. he acutally kinda liked it, i wanted to slap him for it. we ended up finding his oil pressure sensor leaking pretty bad, and we replaced it. It went away as soon as we fixed the oil leak, im guessing it was that. never seen or heard anything else like it until i saw this post.

its just sucking air thats what i think i have the same sound i hear it sometimes not all the time and i have AEM CAI

 

never heard the BOV noise, but my car will whistle alot

 

yeah my car does it too. I have a Vibrant intake and people think I'm turbo. I guess its normal.

 

i hace a aem cai, it doesn't blow air but when you accelerates it whistle very loud.
