6th gen V6 ATF

how many quarts of ATF does the 99 V6 auto. trans take? and what type of ATF does it use? also, is there any particular brands you guys recomend?

Slightly under 4. You MUST check the trans fluid with the car warmed up and the engine off. There will not be any on the dipstick if you check it with the engine running and you will end up overfilling it.....

complete flush/rebuilt/just drain and flush?

oem atf is the only way to go

drain and fill. I would not flush those units.............

how do you manage to get 4qts in there, when its spec'ed at 3.1qts for drain and fill. i've always threw in 3qts on drain and fills and the level was fine.
