225/50/16 will they fit?
04 type s. i have the stockers on there right now. i blew my money on the tein flex coilovers and cant buy wheels!hhahha i kinda wanted to paint the stockers black anyways...... The question at hand is, will 225/50/16 fit the stock type s rims? If they do then i could just buys tires, a few can of paint, and call it a day......at least i hope so.... i dont want 205 or 215. 225 is not be so greedy right?
oh man! whew! thats a whole lot of relief! thanks everyone......ima order my falken now!
is it me or do the the stock 205 on the rsx's just way to weak for the car? its as if the car exceeds the capabilities of the 205...... i dont know, it just feels that way..... hopefully the 225 will feel alot better

Rotated the tires....
Kidding... knwldge54, try switching them, putting the wider tires in front, and tell us how the handling changes.

I was just going through the same debate myself since a friend of mine has some brand new kumho mx's in that size brand new and offering to sell to me.
A lot of people with the dc5/ep3 seem to run this size and absolutely love the performance that results. My stock michelins are pretty worn and I just cant stand them much longer, I've just about had it with their squealing and lack or traction in wet/dry conditions as well as when rolling over the painted lines on the road. The MX"s may be the daily driver replacement.
Its really not that much bigger than the oem 16" size as you can see here http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
Here are some pics I dug up in my research.. Forgive me for the sizing.

I got them because my rear tires were destroyed from not be aligned. They actually only been on there since Sunday. I was planning on switching them up when I have time but I probably won't. I'm still looking around for a set of 05/06 RSX wheels right now and I'm hoping these wheels won't be on the car for much longer. Plus, the only reason I have 225s in the back is because I bought them used for $35 each in hurry. Putting 225s in the front will probably make it look weird but will hopefully be worth it if I ever get around to it.
