i'm clueless on this start up..engine rotates but doesn't want to start
so we have everything double checked and checked all over again. it's a dpfi to a mpfi swapped. everything is fine but somehow the engine will not start.
things checked: resistor box is good-
fuel rail is getting fuel and injectors are spraying fuel-
grounds checked and connected-
cap/rotor/sparks/wires all new...gapped down and has spark.
the dilema- when the motor was bought the distributor itself was taken off and put back in.
the starter we have on the zc sohc motor is off the d15(std) motor? well this have any part of the motor not starting?
the motor was taking in to a shop and timing checked out fine.
the last thing on my mind is that maybe the fuel pressure regulator is maybe faulty maybe not pushing out the correct psi? to check this would we have to hook up a guage to see?
anyone have any clue? tips? maybe advice? i'm stuck and down to my last patience with this problem.. to those with anything i appreciate it much..

only code it was throwing was a code 10 which was the iat. we have that fixed now.
the firing order is correct. my guess is also that timing may have skipped just a lil.

that happened with my crx. it was stock though, so im not sure if this will help BUT i looked it up in a troubleshooting guide, so make sure your battery is fully charged. and as long as the motor is spinning then its not the starters issue, i just kept mine trying for like 5 minutes and it slowly started up. now it starts like its brand new. my uncle said that because it sat for a while in wet weather that maybe the solonoid got damp and it just needed to be worked out of the system. good luck though! hopefully its nothing major...

yes it comes on...
yes it comes on...
we pulled the plugs and to our surprise all four plugs are drenched in fuel...
is this being caused by bad injectors or is the pressure reg. letting to much fuel in?
has this caused any effects on the motor itself cause it has not started?

could have a tear in your injector o-rings... but not all of them at the same time...so i suspect your ignition timing is way off...i think its drowing your car in fuel. your plugs are probly fouled
