starting air valve/air boost valve?
the under-hood sticker shows it as an air boost valve. FSM shows starting air valve. either way, the hose connected to it was the one that shouldve been connected to the black box bolted to the bottom of the mani, not sure of the name.
anyway, now the starting air/air boost valve is without a hose. under-hood sticker shows what i think is a hose from the air cleaner tube. but i have CAI, so im not too sure what to do.
anybody know what hose connects to top of it?

if you have a h22 the black box under the intake manifold should connect to the IABs which are the butterflies that are in the intake manifold
I just left my starting valve unhooked. some just block it off. i think that just vacume from the manifold will hold it closed one runing, but its been a long time

i have an H23. ive got the box hooked up like it should be, my idle is normal again
well yea i think ill just leave that air valve the way it is then, i guess its supposed to aid in starting the car up, but its starting just fine without it.
thanks

Yeah when I did my h22 swap everyone just told me to take it out, it only helps on realy cold days starting the car, provides vacuum to start the engine.
