Default b18a1 into ef dx hatch question about wiring....help!!!!!

my friend has a obd0 b18a1 in her 89 dx. it was running fine until she let someone mess around with some wiring. i went to her house yesterday to look at it and when she popped her hood i was instantly sick. it look like edward sccissor hands wired up her car and used electrical tape on everything. it has to be the worse job i ever saw as far as wiring goes. it looks like it may be harder to trace the wires and fix it than to get new ecu and motor harness. my question is............which ecu harness and which motor harness should we get. i have been through page after page of real good stuff but i cant get a clear answer. it is going on 5 hours of searching so i think now is a good time to ask for advice. please be nice and dont flame cuz this question is my final step in "searching" thank you and god bless you.

get a new harness from the junkyard and convert it to work with your motor or hit up RYWIRE.COM and order a premade harness for exactly what you need.

thanx farris. we most likely will get both harness's at the salvage yard but the question is "which ecu harness and which motor harness combo do we use." i understand that there are several diffrent ways to go but i would like to find the easiest method. buying a premade harness is not an option due to the fact that i wont learn crap that way.lol once again thank farris

Get a 88-91 civic dx harness, you can also get one off a 4-door it won't matter. Then your going to have to convert the car over to multi port.
