I'm so disappointed with my runs..
It's 00 lude 5spd turbocharged and dyoned at 355whp(14psi) on the mustang dyno.
I also just used street tires on the stock rims.
I expected high 12's...well my best run was 14.229.
Now I'm really disappointed..
I'm not sure if it's the car or driver.
R/T .506
60' 2.472
330 6.413
1/8 9.477
MPH 82.58
1000 12.061
1/4 14.229
MPH 104.74
Well I can see that my 60' isn't that good.
Is there a way to improve it?
Can you guys give me some opinions?

not if your just spinning.. with that HP level and slicks you would have no problems seeing 12's.. hell even DR's would help a ton

Your trap speed indicates you can hit a high 12 second pass.
When you get traction (like on slicks) don't be surprised if you can go deep into the 12's.

Your 330's really suck *** too. Are you power shifting? What rpms are you shifting at? You need to take 1st gear and bounce off the rev limiter to catch chassis speed to wheel speed, otherwise your going to bog like hell between shift's. For example if your shifting right at 8000. I bet your wheels are spinning around let say 45 mph but i bet your chassis is moving around 28-30, especially with those street tires. Once you shift twala your at 28 mph and the whole car bogs. Hope this helps.
i watched some of your runs last night, your lude is sky blue/greyish?... i was impressed with your car it was moving on the top end. like these guys said, you need a tire that can make use of all that power.

I was just tryting to shift at the redline.
What do you mean by "power shifting"?
"You need to take 1st gear and bounce off the rev limiter to catch chassis speed to wheel speed"
Sorry..I don't really get what exactly you want me to do.
Thanks for great replys!
Keep them coming!

My lude is black with the mugen kit...but then there wasn't any other ludes at the track.
Were you at Castrol Raceway?

yah i was at castrol, i could have sworn there was a sky blue/grey lude that ran mid to high 14's. what time were you there? i dont think i saw a black lude?
Yea that was probably me.
My best run was 14.229 and others were mid to high 14's.
There were two 15's as well but that's when I missed green lights.
I also didn't see any preludes. I'm pretty sure I was the only prelude because I was there from the beginning to the end.

I think its more than just traction issues if you're only trapping at 104.....
On street tires with that kind of whp i would expect to see 110-115 traps.

When you hit redline let it bounce of the rev limiter for about 2 seconds. Power shifting - Full throttle shifting. (Not letting off the throttle between shifts.)

Oh...yea power shifting is what I did and i thought that's what everybody is supposed to do to reduce the time consuming between shifting.
I'm sorry but yea i'm noob to the drag racing I just want to be more clear here.
what exactly do you mean by "bounce of the rev limiter for 2sec"?

just get some 23"slicks.
its going to be inpossible to match chassis speed with tire speed with street tires.
does the car bog when you shift to 2nd?
cause 104traps are really slow for a 350whp prelude.

Kyle what do you know?
J/k
I bet he is bogging like hell into 2nd with street tires and the chassis speed not even getting close to wheel speed due to extreme tire spin.
But Kyles right get some slicks, this will be to your advantage.
Bouncing the rev limiter means once you hit your rev limiter hold it there for a second or 2 then shift.

What he means is that lets say you start doing a burnout, which in your case I bet you do a helluva good one, tires spin and you hit rev limiter. Keep it bouncing until you gain traction at the wheels. I just feel it, you may need to look at your speedo when you've stopped accelerating? Of course, my car isn't as powerful though. Slicks are the answer.
My full weight integra with 330whp did 7.77 @ 94 in 1/8. I borrowed a friends set of 22" MT on some 13" lenzo wheels. Ran consistant 1.8x 60'. All the traction was a nice change since 1st/2nd definantly have spin on toyo t1rs. If you plan on frequenting the dragstrip invest in slicks. If you are planning on doing some street racing get the BFGs.

I didn't even do a burnout cuz these are the only tires I have lol
