Default Power loss at 5K!?!?! Anybody?

Ok first off 97 civic w/ LS swap. The other night I was racing and I hit 4th gear and at right around 5k it felt like the car was having trouble getting above 6k.
Tonight I was racing and I hit 3rd and again at right about 5k it started cutting out and poping(through exhaust). Its like once I hit 5k the car has a hard time getting above 6k, it feels and sounds like a DSM hitting fuel cut.. I have been told maybe fouled plug? I have not checked yet though. Anyone else ever exerience this?

P.S. no CEL

ill give you the benifit of the doubt and think you were on the track

first off check your plugs make sure all is well gapped and clean. in fact, just change them anyway. whats a few bux.

then see if it works.

Why would it matter if I was "street racing"?

Ok I took spark plugs out and they look nasty. There is a hard green residue on the plugs.

after changing your spark plugs, just do a whole clean up..check your air filter, make sure all your fluids are fine...just little things..then go and get it tuned
