Ok the rear pads and rotors have seen better days on this 93 EX sedan. But i noticed that when im backing up first thing in the mornings the brakes make this awful metallic squeel/grinding sound. Im not sure what it is...no other sounds come from the brakes when driving...other than a bad front axle but thats irrelevant.

 

why not just buy new brakes? sounds like you need them.

grinding = metal on metal = no more pad left.

buy some pads...and rotors since they're probably fucked, and put them on

 

thanks guys...im replacing them tomorrow anyways...i just wanted to see if it was something maybe other than the pads/rotors since they dont do it when i stop.

 

im having that same situation right now. i cant replace my brakes cause my stupid brother lost my key to the wheel locks. so pretty much, i cant take my wheels off for a week or so until i get that key i just ordered

 

that happened to me before, i just wnt to the local tire shop and picked on up for 10 bucks
