Apexi Exhaust
I'm looking in to buying a apexi ws2 exhaust. I asked one of their dealers about the 6th coupe i4 model of the exhaust and he said they dont have it for that car. But they do have it for the v6.
My first question, will it fight onto my i4 exhaust?
2nd, i just recently got a fix it ticket for my exhaust. Will i get another one for having this exhaust on?
btw i live in california.
Thanks!

man, sometimes the post you find here. considering the fact that a V6 has 2 separate exhaust pipes coming from each side of the block it will not fit. not even close.

Some aftermarket exhausts for the V6 make it into a single outlet.

Hahaha... Have you ever looked underneath the damn car before?? And you do know the meaning of a cat-back exhaust, right? Let me explain something to you. The headers meet and merge into one pipe underneath the engine. From there, they travel a short ways further back, and enter the catalytic converter. From there, and until about the rear wheels, the exhaust still travels through a single pipe. It then splits via Y-pipe to 2 relatively short sections of pipe and then both mufflers. The exhaust "tunnel" is the same for both cars.
So what needs to be done? The cats on a V6 and I4 sit in slightly different positions, so the new exhaust would need to be either lengthened or shortened, and might have a different flange. If the V6 exhaust he gets is a dual muffler, then he needs to have some extra hangers installed by the shop.
So, bluedlude, you want to keep talking about the posts you find here? Or were you referring to your own post? Please make sure you know what you are talking about before you try to "correct" someone.

I can barely think of any cars that come with seperate exhaust pipes nowadays. Most are just Y bends at about the axle-back section. Both will work, but a dual exhaust on the 4 banger is pretty worthless. It just takes a little extra fabbing.

tell me about my oem dual twin-loop Y split s2k honda exhaust that weighted 50 lbs
most aftermarket single are like 15-20 lbs for my car
v6 and 4 banger are different length, apexi comes with a little extension pipe, which is like 5 inch long.
if you can't get the extension pipe, just have the muffler place to weld it for you, the bolt pattern is universal so you just need to extend it with a piece of pipe

no duel exhaust for me, just adds more weight. I'm just getting tired of getting pulled over for my exhaust. The cops around my area is cracking down on modified parts. It's just a hassel having to pop my hood every time i get pulled over.
thanks for the help!
