Shop in socal to change out my Timing Belt/Water pump?
The car hit over 100k (but with a swapped engine, so the timing belt was changed before) and the timing belt seems to be flapping a slight bit.
My brother used to take his cars to a location in the City of Industry named HondaStar, and they quoted me 200 dollars just for labor. That's a pretty good deal, no?
Do any of you guys know of any better places in the local SGV (626) area that don't charge an arm and a leg?
THANKS!

Does it need to be changed? If it is flapping, it may just need to be retensioned. That price is decent, though. My TB/WP was about $400 to replace.
acura reccomends the belt is replaces every 90k so you are a little overdue
but paying someone to do a timing belt and water pump replacement is the bigget waste of money in my opinion
you cant get a melms manual and do it yourself in a few hours and spend 1/3 the money is will cost to have it done and you gain the experience and knowledge to be able to do it again

Agreed, scared me a little at first doing my own tbelt/water pump but I cranked it out in a weekend. Take your time. i didn't and didn't have my moter TDC properly so it took a lot of time consuming trial and error to get it timed right again. Didn't use my helms manual either
