Default Your expertise is requested regarding wheels

hi this is my 1st post and would like to say there is some nice looking preludes on this forum! well done guys and gals! i recently passed my driving test and got a '93 prelude 2.3 and it is an amazing motor! i now would like to get some alloys and unsure what to get. i definately want 17s. i don't like the rota slips just so u know. i'm looking for something with a bit of a rim if u kno wot i mean. i quite like the velox VXK's. does anyone have any pics of these wheels on a prelude? what do u guys think of them? any suggestions appreciated. thanks.

here's my car :D

hmm. Congrats on getting your car and license, and welcome to h-t.
Just look around, check the official prelude picture thread and check some of the cars out in that, and find out what wheels they are if you like them.

I made you a picture of those VXK's (well similar anyway). Top is with a 1.5" drop, bottom is stock suspension

I have a feeling he didn't notice because he's in Europe. Anyway, the game is Juiced. It's a crappy game, but good for modeling stuff

RHD=right hand drive. if you want 17's, get a good wheel that wont be so god damn heavy. me personally, i have 4 lug ITR wheels on mine. some say 15s are tyoo small on a lude, but i love them

i would have to agree that weight is important when getting 17" wheels. do you not like rotas at all? i think rotas are an excellent bang-for-the-buck kind of wheel, and they usually have a knock-off of every popular style. just do your research on your wheels and make sure you are not getting screwed on price and make sure they are quality made wheels and won't bend on every pothole.

right hand drive haha its the norm here obviously! thanks!
egcoupe94 - in my opinion 15s are a bit on the small size for a prelude. a civic maybe, but each to their own! i've heard of a prelude in the UK with 18s and an aston martin front lip!

i'm not too bothered about the weight of the wheels but what is the ideal weight for some 17s on a lude? bearing in mind my car isnt the vtech model.

bb6 racer - i do like rota wheels, they do some good stuff for good prices but i don't think the slipstreams would look good on my car. i've been browsing andysautosport.com for the velox wheels as i can't find a UK stockist of velox so far. its about £650(about $1200 i think) including shipping so its not too bad.
what is velox's reputation like over there? they're virtually unheard of in the UK.

95greenlude - i've got a picture of a prelude with these wheels in black on, looked so damn sexy! there was a blurry dog in the background too haha!
