Default 93cb7sedan's official EH derice/restore thread

This has now become my teal coupe build. im leaving the hatch pictures up even though the car has been sold. I saw no reason to make a whole nother thread when i can just continue this one. Hatch final pictures on page 3, new build on page 3. New build will be slow, i have no job ATM

First weeks progress was all electrical

what i took out of the car that was extra ricey crapola

second weeks progress.. bumpers, different ricey wheels, and dumped

soon to come, stock headlights, carpet, ex cluster, diff wheels, built d16z6 swap, and paint!!!!

got started on dropping the motor out of the donor car. snapped some pictures.

unfortunately, only 1 shot of the motor being stripped down, my camera didnt save some of my pictures. oh well here they are.

I would have finished today, and pending my cherry picker i would be prepared to have the motor pulled out. HOWEVER!!! as i was loosening my drivers side axle nut the last one i had to loosen before pulling the axles....breaker bar broke

bye bye breaker bar

And a little custom work

more to come soon, im going back to work on it sunday i hope

so today i decided i would rattle can my car. i was going to do flat red but couldnt find a color that suited me in my price range. so i went with gloss red and black.

some of the pictures are very blury, my arm was tired and by god it was freezing out when i took them.

overall, there were alot of runs/overspray so it looks like hell. but i guess its better than white/red

to the pics.

hood needs a good wetsand and polishing. notice the lines/uneveness

Whats this....wrinkle coat blue???

NOPE!!!

Where are my bumpers and fenders?

here they are.

LOl i cut that gigantic tip off my exhaust...from the back it looks ok, but from the side....someone steal my exhuast please lol

thats all, ill get some less blurry tomorrow

AND YES I KNOW. IT LOOKS BAD !!!!

its just to get me through winter till i can save up money for a real paint job.

any comments welcome of course

So its been a long time since ive updated this thread, so i figured id throw it back to the top.

ive had the car about 8 months now and its gone through some changes here are all the pix

got a turbo, small t3, will suit me just fine. Gonna be a while before it is in the car tho

through the rattle can stage, which was a STUPID IDEA!!!!

Monster truck?

Thats better!!

Started sanding...gotta get that damn spray paint off

New Wheels!!! FAT FIVES FTW

made my own trunk cover

hood went into the shop...Had to put this TITE JDM PINK HOOD ON!!!!

Goodies waiting for the finished product

Custom Hatch Cover

OEM EX Tach and no more gay red cover thing

Dead Pedal FTW

Crown Shift boot owns you

Rear disc swap!!

And this was a horror story, poor bodywork from when the car was wrecked (before i got it) so we had to dig all that bondo out and build it back (which still isnt done)

Roof is painted!!! im going two tone

The hood woulda been, but the paint peeled, due to this....

Yes tahts clear coat from the previous paintjob, it wasnt stuck...

Strippin the old paint down to the primer/orginal paint

and how she sits now, some dents fixed, some more sanding. Its getting close.

dont care about the tag

The current interior

and this is what it should look like when finished (its a manga) i decided on two tone, black roof/hood milano the rest. i like it, if you dont thats cool

thanks guys.

im trying to wait on paint and find a new rear quarter, im not happy with all that filler there.

its just a matter of time before it cracks again, or someone slams their door open on it and busts it out.

already replaced the passenger door to get rid of that bunch of bondo.

and the reason its being painted in pieces. i didnt have a car to drive to leave that one at the shop i work at, and since the paint job is free its not a big priority to finish there.

kinda sucks, i want the paint done and turbo to begin
