Default what kind of header

i have a 98 gsr. looking for a good carb legal header due to CA smog requirements. are the 97 and 98 gsr headers different in size? and also 4-2-1 is for low end and 4-1 is for high end is that correct? which one would you go for and if possible any dyno sheets to compare the 2?

You are correct. I think DC and Greddy are the only two CARB headers you can get.

Yup, Cali sucks. If you get a JDM type-r header, you can also get the stock JDM heat shield, and no one will ever know that its not legal. Of course, you'll also have to illegally change out the catalytic to get the most from it.

If you want to stay legal, the DC 421 is probably the best "bang for the buck" header. Relatively low cost.
