Re: greddy header???? (dragboy)
They both are good header!! If I were to get one I would choose DC,...simply bcus more racer use DC!!
4-1 header are design for high ends so...good for drag track!!
4-2-1 for mostly for low to mid power..and good for street!!

Re: greddy header???? (HATCHingMN)
I've never really heard anyone talk about the greddy header...i've actually been wondering about it myself. I know the JDM 4-1 and the DC 4-1 are really good choices. Actually I saw someone post some dyno plots not too long ago showing the DC 4-2-1 made more power than the 4-1.... just some thoughts

Greddy Header Pros: Stainless Steel, 4-2-1 (so it does not hang low) , nice looking color once on your car for awhile, cheaper than DC Stainless, Great low end torque and mid level power.
Greddy Header Cons: The welds are not the greatest, not much gain on the top end, A little more $ then the DC ceramic, and it runs a little hotter than the ceramic headers.
In my opinion, the Greddy header for the B series (which only comes in stainless) is a great header if you are looking for power on the street (low end torque and mid range) or if you like to run Slammed like me and do not want to scratch and dent up your new 4-1 header. If you search around you can find them for just a little $ more than the DC ceramic. They are a good header for the money, but you will get more top end power out of a 4-1, run cooler with a ceramic, and get better quality with a name like Comptech (but alot more $). I hope I gave you a little more info to make your decision harder. I'll drink to that!

I know a B18 engine likes the 4-1 header more then the 4-2-1.
4-1 header means that 4 "heads" move into 1 pipe, whereas 4-2-1 move form 4 into 2 and finally 1. Little info for ya

I had both the Greddy 4-2-1 and the ITR 4-1. Greddy does give more power over stock.. but the ITR felt way better overall. This is on an LSVTEC with CTR pistons.. and I'd definitely get an ITR 4-1 over any DC header.

what about the apexi header i been looking around alot so far tho i found the greddy header to be a decent price 292 and the dc stainless for 325 shipped.
any other suggestions on a header???? i am looking for gains that will have a good powerband, since i am going to try my hand @ autoxing this coming season and also for 1/4mi too since i am running a 75 shot. any headers perform better with nitrous or is it all teh same??? was thinking a header-tech header but its a lil bit out of my pricerange

Re: greddy header???? (dragboy)
Apexi GT Spec Manifold is sweet too. It is only available in stainless like Greddy, but it has better welds. It is also 4-2-1 so it has good low end and mid-range unlike the forementioned 4-1's which are better for top end.
Apexi's header is also more expensive than the Greddy or DC stainless. For autocross, you want a 4-2-1 because you never get close to 100mph like you would on the drapstrip, but for nitrous on the dragstrip you want a 4-1 one piece; Top End Baby! You will have to find a compromise between the two.
Out of curiosity, where do you find the prices of $292 for Greddy and $325 shipped for the DC Stainless?

Re: greddy header???? (dragboy)
i bought my greddy gsr header for 305$ shipped offa ebay. I didn't realize, at the time, that the jdm gsr engines have the O2 sensor in the header. Now i will have to deal with sticking in an intermediate pipe with an o2 bung hole. Not sure if i'm going to keep the header or not tho.
Looks like a nice peice tho, could use some dremelling in one of the ports.
