Koni: Red or Yellow?
Which Koni shocks are better, yellows or reds?
I'm using my car as a DD (lowered), and am wondering which would go better with Skunk2 slip-on coilovers.

yellows are higher end with externally adjustable rebound damping. reds do have an adjustment range, but you have to completely take the suspension out and disassembled to adjust.
however, neither are going to safely work with skunk2 adjustable springs. the sleeves wont properly fit like GC koni specific sleeves will, and you shouldnt put them in the silver perch cup, because of the C clip design.
and my personal opinion, ditch the skunk2 springs.

Tyson is correct on every point. If you really don't want to ditch the Stunk-2 coil-overs, you should look into getting Tokico Illuminas. They are also externally adjustable & have a very good service rep. Tyson loves em & I value his opinion. I use the Koni Sport (yellow) shocks & I think the world of them too, but I do know first hand that you must use the special Ground-Control sleeves with them. I had regular GC sleeves on OEM shocks for a long time. When I upgraded to Koni sport shocks, I had to purchase the special smaller sleeves & nuts to keep my GC springs. No big deal since I sold the regular sleeves to recoupe about half the cost...
