crower either the 404s if you plan to all motor or boost either way with good tunning and a good port and polish, they will run hard, or if you want all motor and want the get the most top end just get some crower 405s

Did you up the compression at all?

Aren't the 405's a bit high for street driving. I thought i read they idle really high like 1200rpm or something like that.

thanks for the replys, so if my setup is an rsr exmag exhaust, comptech intake, and comptech tig header would the 404/405's crower cams be best? thank you

Personally, i think you may need to increase your compression to really take advantage of the 404's and especially for the 405's if they are even streetable.

It seems like you need to do a lot of research before actually making a decision.

Here a link that i came across;

If you live in cali and are doing smog you can only do the 403's and if not the 404's will work well with stock compression as long as you get a good tune, and I wouldn't touch 405's unless this is only a track car. Also if money allows You should PnP the head and since its already off just mill a couple thousdths of an inch to bump compression and your set. But remember tuning is key.

I would not get the 405s unless it was an all otu race car. I think the 404s and the valvetrain kit will do you good..also might wanna check out http://www.nonvtec.com and view some of there setups. I know of onyl gude and crower off the top of my head and crower seems to be a common among us "nonvtec"

I have a set I picked up off another HT member, they are the #12's on the chart.

I dont have them in as I need to finish off the car and then smog it. Once that is done I will install them and hopefully get a tune done.
