Default So I ran my 06' LX at the track yesterday....

I got 3 runs in at the track yesterday at atco raceway in NJ.

Car:

Model: 06' LX 5spd
Mods: None - 100% stock
Tire pressure: 32psi all around
Conditions: High humidity, thunderstorms in the area

My best:

Launch: 3100 RPM semi-dump
RT: .736
60': 2.342
330: 6.692
1/8: 10.272
MPH: 68.17
1000: 13.384
1/4 16.010
mph: 86.63

More info about the run:

I kept the tire pressure at 32psi all around because i want to compare future runs with tweaked air pressure. I just called the track and the elevation is 93 ft above sea level.

Not bad for a first time out...any suggestions/comments welcome

I did not stage deep...would this be the reason for a slow rxn time? My other runs I staged deep with rxn times of .374 and .478 respectively, however my 60' times were significantly slower.

I run at Island Dragway in NJ.

I'm sure it's a stick. The autos run high 16's.

If you notice, this board is made up of people who modify their car and in the process void their warranty. Take your rant somewhere else, nobody cares.

WTF?

Are you the HT fairy god mother or something?

Sounds like stick times and I think a 15.5 is easily had with a good set of tires on that car --- look at the 60's --- plenty of room

I have seen people with EM1 Si's go slower Good job to Nikko and keep practicing

Ok now the trap speed makes more sense to me.

Sweet dude. Practice on the shifting to cut a few tenths.

My worst run was 15.7 @ 85 with 38 psi in the tires. Launched around 3500. 2.3 60 ft.
Best was 15.6 @85 with 18 psi in the tires. 2.2 60 ft
5k dump clutch. Track closed before I could get more runs.
I was hoping for 15.5, and I know its in it lol.

Ive gotta stop taking slow cars to the track haha.

those times are extremely slow for an lx. i ran a 15.8 in my civic si. it was about 95 degrees outside, and i dont know the elevation but i know the car would do better elsewhere because i ran against a supercharged prelude SH and he only won by 2 tenths (15.6). post some slips cuz i wanna see this. and im definitely going to have to go back out to the track and see what my car will do once it cools down. im just pissed that ur time was lower than mine.

16.01 LX vs. 15.8 SI...and ur saying the time is extremly slow...

air temp on thursday night was roughly low 90s. Your post makes no sense.

EDIT: ps - driver skill factors into how 'fast' your car is. Whereas you can take ur SI to 15.8, I may be able to take it to 14.3-14.5...its all about the 60' which determines how 'fast' you car is.

and i understand the driver is a big factor. i have been to the track many times, i figured it was due to the weather and the fact that the car was at 601 miles when i ran it and it had literally just been broken in. excuses excuses i know, but i havent had time to get back out to the track now and see what it will do. and dont say that "YOU" can push my car another second or more faster because YOU dont know that. u can be a dick if u want to though... freedom of speech. i still wanna see the slips.
