Help with auto trans shifter!!!
Hey everyone,
We are moving in 4 days and guess what, now my wifes Accord will not shift sometimes into R or D. I can't figure it out. When you push the button on the shift lever, sometimes it is so damn hard to press you can't shift it nad then other times it is fine. I took the shiftl lever apart and that helps sometimes. I am confused, anyone got any ideas???? (I checked the ATF and all is good)
Thanks

I have taken the shift **** off and if you manually push down on the white plastic sleeve then push down on the inner metal rod it will work, but you also have to fool with it sometimes. I guess that I will leave as is until we get to BAMA and then let someone look at it. Thanks for the sugestions.

If you're going to drive it make sure the brake lights are working. Sounds like the brake switch is getting sticky.

Definitely, make sure the brake lights work. And, do you hear a click inside the console when you press the brakes?
