cut in new ball joint boot, bond rubber?
i just put in a new lower ball joint, and I happened to cut the grease pack boot while i was pressing it in. The grease isn't oozing out or anything, not yet atleast. I know once i torque down the rod, it will squeeze it out.
can i seal the cut? is that easy to do. or is it better to just replace the boot?

boots are $3 to replace. just replace it. i dont think any adhesive is going to take well to the grease already in there. not worth trying.
oh well...
i wasn't able to find a replacement boot. I ended using a univeral boot, but wasn't able to get a snap ring in to hold it. I just left it covering the joint. Do you think that will be ok?
Where do you shop from, online that is?
