no start, but cranks
hey everyone, i just bought a 92 civic EG so i would stop putting miles on my FD3S. well, for some reason i got no spark. i replaced the rotor, cap and a new dizzy from autozone. one day i went to crank it and it fired right up, the next day it didnt start, but cranked like it did last time. then got a replacement dizzy from autozone and it would crank but not fireup again!
i am getting fuel preasure, the wires are in the correct spot and my cams turn but there is no spark. the dizzy is keyed correctly to the cam and this is the second dizzy where there is not spark. i am an aircraft mechanic for the navy, i am getting a degree in aerospace engineering and i work on my RX7 constantly, but this one has got me stumped... any ideas :-/

no, i will do that. the only things i am thinking is...
1: the main relay
2: the wiring harness (but would this cause a no spark?)
3: a bad ground somewhere
4: a bad ECU

yea, look at your grounds. i had a bad ground connection and car wouldnt start either. had compression and cranked over just woouldnt fire, fixed loose ground started right up.
my car did this when i had a bad ground.
i replaced the dizzy twice like you before i figured it out.
the bad ground was causing the fuel pump to cut out intermittently.
another possiblity....
if the main relay is bad on a Civic, you will lose power to the injectors and the fuel pump but you may not lose fuel pressure because the injectors can't open without power. did u check the main relay with a multimeter?
