Default my 2006 LX

hey, i have a 2006 civic LX black.

I've had it for almost 2 months now and there are some things i want to do to it, but i'm a total beginner with a new car.

First i want to go for exterior looks then work on the engine. First, for the outside I want to get a spoiler, i search on google for days and i can't find one for the LX other than that little sorry excuse for one. Then, i want to get a set of wheels instead of the stock ones with hub caps.

Can anyone help or try to help me out? lol i'd be very grateful. thanks in advance

contact me via aim at 'omg its zell'

look into some rota wheels since you sound like you're pretty young and that means low on cash. but either way rotas look nice, pretty light, and cheap. i would recomend their circuit 10's, mugen mf10 knockoffs. and for the engine good luck tuning the r18. it was not meant for power. save your money for a k20 swap or a faster car.

in general dont buy crap. do things right the first time. and stay away from ebay.

thanks, yea you're right on the young part, i'm 20 now. Was 19 when I got the car, no credit and very little down payment. I'm proud of myself for actually getting it/paying for it all myself. Money is tight seeing as though i have my own place and such.

Right now i want it to look nice (those hub caps aren't rubbin me the right way). then i will work on saving up for the engine.

you couldve bought a used or older model then work on it if you're into that...
there's a forum for the 92-00' models and 01-05.
Modifying and customizing a new car with a low budget will not get you far aside from tinting for $200 with warranty but if u modify elsewhere you might void the warranty and in case there's a malfunctioning then you're done for.
Wait until t he warranty is gone and more options available for your car then do as you wish with it.

well, i was going for an SI when i first was looking.

the dealership said i couldn't get the finance because of having no credit. but my sales person said that if i make the payments on my LX for 6 months then the bank will be able to give me the loan for it. Using the LX for a tradein of course. is this a good idea?

the payments aren't really a problem, i'm paying like 325/month for the lx, hopefully the si will stay under 450

try 500+
Having no credit history, you're goin for a car which costs over 21K...unlike the lx model which is at 16K i think...u'd be losing your money and making high payments...
You insurance will go up as well...fees and taxes from DMV, state and town you live in will increase due to the car costing more...
Gotta think things through before you purchase something...this is how people get in debt and get their credit score screwed up and some go bankruptcy...
