03 600rr steering dampner...which to buy.?
i have only looked into a scotts damper so far it was $439 i was wondering if anyone has an auggestions to a real good dampner for this bike
$439 is pricey, no? Try shopping around.
And it's damper, not dampner or dampener. The first one is to quell unwanted vibrations coming through the forks, while the latter two make things wet.

Actually I dont think dampner is even a word hahaha. But I love when people say dampener....I just roll my eyes and walk away.
Anyhow, I like Scotts. Being able to adjust low and high speed is nice. Its easy to make adjustments to find yer sweet spot w/ yer gloves still on too. $439 is way too much, just shop around.

well just that i've heard that in wrecks a rotary style damper holds up a lot better then a telescopic damper such as ohlins, hyperpro, etc. kind of makes sense.

I have the ohlins and swear by it. The Scotts is nice cause it uses a ohlins dampner, but the rotary style I'm not a fan of. But whatever is in your budget.

You should be pretty happy with it. I'm happy with mine. Now you sorta have some Ohlins bling now too

i would recomend the Scotts or Ohlins. mostly because i know of people using both units and i have never heard anyone complain about either of these products. although, the Scotts is mostly an Ohlins piece if i rmember correct.

You just need the mounting bracket for each bike.
