90 accord Help

Default 90 accord Help

In my 90 accord the check engine light is on and the code reading was 15, I don't know what the problem with this, and i'm afraid to drive it anywhere b/c it might break down... please help me

"ignition output signal" is the name of the code.
does the tach act stupid and jump around?
Any kind of engine stumbles going on?

Nothing going on, it work fine and once I leave it off for about 30 minute and turn it back on if goes off again, is there a way I can fix this?? and will it be fine if I drive for amount of time?? trying to go to another state to visit family.

kinda hard to say. the code sounds like the igniter may be about to go bad. If anything just go to your dealership and buy the parts and put them and a philips screwdriver and an 8mm socket extension and ratchet in your glovebox incase it does go bad.

Could be something old still looping through the ECU. Try resetting it. use this thread.

be sure the ground at the T-stat housing is clean and tight.
I just had a flashback...whoa that was great LOL

i agree with Moo.......... I have seen ignitors cause this code before they take a dump ...

remove distr cap, make sure all the wires that go to ignitor are nice and tight , also the plugs that go to distr, unplug them, get a small needle nose plier and gently twist the male oin connectors ,careful DO NOT twist too much or they will brake
put together aned clear the code
remove the back up fuse 7.5 amps under hood fuse box
