Default what the??????????can't tell what's going on?

so i'm driving right, all of a sudden my CEL comes on. so when i get to where i'm going and i'm done there i decide to go home, well now the CEL is off. a couple of minutes later it's on. then starts flashing, but not like when your reading a code. more like intermitting. then completely shuts off (keep in mind the car is still running good). maybe about 15 min. before getting home, the car starts to sputter and stall at stops.

so i'm thinking it's my o2 sensor, what do you guys think? need some help here. any advice is better than no advice.

i'm sorry, it's a 93 dx. the o2 probably has about 150,000 miles. though i did a swap alittle over a year ago to a b16a. the motor itself has about 75000.

once i had the car moving and the rpms were past 3K it rode fine. anything under it would shake as i accelerated, when i would stop, the rpms would jump between 0-1K on idle. if i didn't give it alittle gas it would shut off.

i baby this thing, i hit vtec maybe once, twice a week, if that. no racing, i do my motor oil and tranny fluid changes every 3K miles like clock work.

Usually a flashing CEL is the engine saying "I HAVE NO OIL IDIOT" but it seems that this was more of an intermitent CEL like there is a loose connection.
Anyway, check the CEL, if it is there, and check all your fluids, battery, connections grounds etc.
Cars only just up an die for several reasons.
a: a part has failed like your Discharge box or something like that
b: Your out of gas
c: your out of oil and you seized your engine
d: something has become disconnected like a ground or a power wire or some sort of mission critical sensor.

Does it run now?
Do you have fuel? Do you have spark?

I hate these post where someone says:
"It sputtered and died after I got a CEL" that could be ANYTHING. Your post count is high enough, you should know the basics. Help us, help you...

i have oil, or my oil light will have came on. i have 3/4 of fuel, filled up yesterday morning about 5am. i posted it runs fine after 4K, couldn't even tell something is wrong. the CEL is no longer there, it shut off maybe 5 min after start up. car stalled twice was able to fire it right up, no delays. car starts up no with no delays.

well, i'll take a look at everything, i'm going to replace the o2 sensor anyway. it's only $60 and it's long overdue. i'm just hoping that's it. i have a feeling it is, but my feeling have lead me down the wrong path before. if anyone has any ideas let me know.

thanks!
