why is my mph low with a 650hp hatch
I had dyno my hatch and got 650hp and went to the track and had a couple of 10sec runs but for some reason they all were in the 120mph range the highest mph i got was 10.8 at 137 i ran again 10.6 at 126 these runs are on 24.5 mh slicks.
I put street tires on and ran 11.1 at 132 back to back i don't know why my mph is so low,i even did a compresion test they all were above 174 it's 9:1 compresion if someone could give me some advise it would help alot thanks

i went 9.7@152.9 @ 650 whp stock gsr trans at 2500lbs
easist thing to do is go throw it on another dyno.....ive come to the conclusion that 90% of dyno readings are just crap.

I know of one shop near ours with the exact same dyno and they dyno'd a customers car and it made 498rwhp. On ours it made 395rwhp with the same tune.
It's easy to change the #'s around.
Makes the customers happy until they go to the track.
We just like to be honest and have an accurate tuning tool.

yes it is very east to change dyno # to make customers happy. we dont do that but we have customers come to us with a # from a dyno jet or other dynos we put them on our mustang dyno & they see lower power. 1 big reason for that is our dyno has real driving feed back so u get a more real #. we normaly add 14% of ther whp & it comes out t what they made on dyno jet.
so your 650 is more like 559.
u got big prob with your speed im trapping those mph with 370whp in my teg on dot drags.
does the car fell like it pulling hard up top. if not your ignition might be starting to fail or u need to upgrade

same boat bro, 540 here only low 130's. we have come to the conclusion that i am not spinning the engine that high. so we will be pushing it to 10k+ this weekend. maybe 11k.
if your running just the blaster coil that could be your problem u probably need a msd box to inhance the ss coil, the coil will only take u up to around 500 alone normally. ss alone can only go so far.

dame thats some revs. im trapping 128 with 17in dot drags shifting at 8200rpm 370whp. that was at the moroso event & it was the shake down of the car.
doesnt make since to me
