Default ecu location

Ok, in archived topics no one ever explained the ecu location very well or I just didn't understand what they were saying so,...is my ecu under that metal plate on the passenger side floor?

next question, is there an easy/safe way of removing the harness from the ecu? Im just a little worried about pulling on it and something separating

Replacing your ECU is like making love to a beautiful woman... when it doesn't do what you want, you're tempted to jerk it. However, refrain from jerking, and have a little patience, and she'll eventually start to work with you.

push the little tab down and it should pull out.
don't pull on the wires though use the plastic as your grip

thanks guys, DIRTYsouthbb6 thats the best advice I think I have ever gotten lol.
next question have any of you guys ever heard of DINAN engineering? I bought the car last year from a dealership and apparently my ECU was previously chipped by them. Let me know if you know anything about the company
