I was just wondering if anyone has ever hit like a 1.9-2.0 60' time with a regular (non drag radial) street tire? Is it possible with?
solid motor mount inserts
full race traction bars
all new ES bushings
complete omni power drag coilover
in a 2050lb crx with about 225whp

I have the older azenis on my integra... I had stock motor mounts with busted tq. mounts and my open differential... my suspension is the apexi exv setup and i had them on half stiff and i have gotten a handful of 2.0 60's before...
I've cut 1.94's before on a 205/50 street with a 3.94 final and 195whp and 185wtq. It's all about slipping the ever loving **** out of the clutch in 1st and the beginning of 2nd to control wheel spin.
I've pulled a best of 2.09 on kumhos with my old MX-6 beater. Torquey cars tend to be easier because it doesn't become a bog or boil situation.

It's just practice either way, honestly I had a harder time cutting 1.9 60s in my six then my 100whp/90wtq Rabbit. Cut consistent 1.95-1.99s in that on streets 195/60s I think. Sliiiiiiip that clutch.

I've cut a couple 2.0 60' times using KDW2 street tires. My car weights about 2800, if it was as light as most of the cars on this site i'm sure it could have been better.
how do you slip the clutch in second gear? do you powershift with the clutch partially depressed? its easy to slip in first, because your already set at the tree.
just put in a new itr tranny and clutch and now my 60' times are killing me with spinning through 2nd and part 3rd. i was thinking of backiing off the gas for a sec, right after the shifts to settle the clutch grab..

i find it so hard to find the time to do anything other than kick the clutch pedal..shift..full throttle. all in one motion.
i tried binging the clutch pedal out only halfway after the first shift for some more slipping, seems like it takes extra time fooling around with that stuff. i was doing ok for traction today tho anyway, good hot pavement-> that seems to be the ticket. I broke into the 2.1x 60' once today, with very little spin into second
28psi.
guy in a crx with the identical engine setup as mine was trapping 102mph to my best 97.9mph. weight makes a big diff. he has bfg's drag radials and didn't know how to use them, and still hit a 13.6 to my best 14.2
