Default Problems with EJ1 post swap, Tach and Speedo Jumping around, Bucking etc.

Okay here is the deal. I swapped a 2000 OBD2 B16A2 into a 94 Civic EJ1. I used a 98 OBD2 Integra GSR harness. Right now it is just running on a P28, I need to get it socketed for my S200. It was running fine, I dont really get on it because it is not running a proper computer, then all of a sudden my tach and speedo start bouncing and the car starts sputtering and bucking. It only does this on occasion. I searched the symptoms and dizzy problems are what I found. If it was an ignitor wouldnt it do this all off the time? If not is there anything else it could be?

Thanks in advance

this happened to me when i had a loose ground somewhere. it was causing the fuel pump to work intermittently and the symptoms wehre exactly as you describe. i tried everything else trust me and in the end it was a lousy loose ground wire. just check them all my friend. if u dont have a haynes or chiltons id invest in one for this. if it not the ground thing then maybe its just the p28. need to get it socketed.... virgin p28 might be running too lean

I have the Helms manual, I will check the grounds. I am running 45-47 psi as far as fuel pressure, to combat the potential of it being lean. Thanks for the advice!

I believe it was a ground (Fingers crossed). I checked them all and one was a bit loose. I tightened it and there has not been a problem. I also added another ground wire as well. Thanks !
