Need help with DB8 doors (searched)
I'm posting for my friend and he's going to order the db8 doors he was wondering if it will just bolt on and plug in with the stock harness or you have to do some wiring...
thanks for your help in advance...
thanks for your help in advance...
I just did this. If you're talking about the JDM ones, then your friend is going to have to switch the wiring from the two front doors, window rail and motor, and the power door lock actuators. In Japan, the driver door is on the right. I had to use all the stuff from USDM doors. The backs are pretty much plug ang play. The only problem I ran across is that my power door locks don't work anymore, but I'm trying to figure it out now. It's pretty easy to do.
yea that's the one with out the moldings can you get me some pics when it's all done..

Just swap over the wiring harnesses from the USDM doors onto the JDM doors. For the Power folding mirrors, just seperate the plugs needed and run it with the USDM harness. Make sure you also swap over the door control relay on the USDM Drivers door to the JDM one.

Why'd you have to switch over the window assemblies from the doors? And the actuators?
And the power door locks...Use the USDM Relay box. Its the brown box screwed onto the drivers side door, towards the rear view mirror.

I switch out the window assembly because the motor is connected to it and the harness to the motor is different between the driver side and the passenger side. Same thing with the actuator.
