Default ITR owners with Hondata Gasket

I will be pulling my intake manifold on my ITR this weekend, just wanted to know from ITR owners that have installed the Hondata intake manifold gasket if they had to run longer studs. I was told some cars do and others don't, no ryme or reason.

Thanks Mattj

No problem with the stock studs...works great too. Didn't have time to bypass the cooling system, but the manifold temps are way cooler than before.

problems arise when u have a skunk2 manifold. the flange is thicker.

Thanks again. I'm having the Intake manifold flange "angle cut" also to straighten the air flow from the intake manifold into the head.

I can't give away all of my secrets I'll make it qwik. The smoother the path the air must flow the better. Basically the flange for the intake manifold has material removed from the top on an angle-down so the runners for the Manifold are getting closer to the same angle as the ports into the head. If you were to look at the engine from the side the TB and back of intake manifold will be sitting slighly higher than they were before.

I that's what I thought, actually. I've never seen one, what is the difference in thickness, and what is the angle on that mill?

Dynospot Racing sells them. They have been on backorder for awhile now, however Dynospot and a few others have gotten them in. http://www.dynospotracing.com
