does anyone know if ngk spark plug wires that are made for a b16 fit on an regular ls motor? and.... anyone have any suggestions on some smog legal modifications i can do. prefferably any internal mods. or maybe just some mods i can get away with?

 

Intake, Exhaust, Headers, cams, cam gears, clutch flywheel etc.

You can do all of that and have it legal.

Make sure it's C.A.R.B. cerfified.

 

even if you have c.a.r.b. number, if a cop if a dick he can write you up for all kind of mods. so there really is no way out of "legal parts"

 

i work in law enforcement, im not woried about cops pulling me over. i cant beat smog.

 

im not great with cars, does anyone know if you add headers and no exhaust, will there be any gain in horsepower? or will it take away?

 

If you are not worried about getting pulled over then why not just put exhaust on??

Or if you are a bit worried then get a quite full exhaust or get something custom done at a good muffler shop.

You can bolt just a header on, but you wont really see any gains. The header is just a part in the system. With the intake,exhaust,header you are letting the engine breather better. More air in, more air out. Even with all 3 parts you wont be gaining a lot of HP, but you will fell like you have more HP just based on the fact the engine is able to breath.

Also as FYI anything can pass smag with the right smog shop
