Default Another car start problem

I own a 94 Rs and this is some wierd ****.

I went to leave my work today and my car wouldnt start, no turn over on the motor but I had the classic "reee ree ree ree ree" of people swearing behind their wheels as the elctricity or fuel get's somewhere and quits.

My battery seem's to be fine, becuase for some unknown reason after getting a ride home and comming back in my buddy's car.. it started as normal on the first go.

Wtf is going on with my car... help please!

thanks

i say get that starter checked out...
ignitor (if dead) usually wont start... it will just simply turn over and over and over...
i supposed the ignitor may have no completely failed?
does the car turn over or do you just hear the ree ree reee noise?

Just the "ree ree" not turning over.. It happened again, I did a wire test (screw driver in the wire to the ground" no spark on all cylinders. Then I put it all back in turn the key and poof it starts. I think i'll just put a new distibutor on it.

He is most likely right.
if the car is not turning over(do you even hear a click ?)
the ignitor would make it not have spark, true.
but you are saying its not even to the point that the starter is making the engine turn over (not on).
if it isn't turning over, there wont be any spark.
imo pull the starter( its pretty simple) you can take it to autozone and have them test it for free.

If you want a quick check, get someone to push start you, you know how to pop the clutch?
assuming you have a manual :]

good luck, i'll try to keep my eye on this thread and please post what your solution was when you have one.

Check out thread for sounds and pics. I think it's the starter as well.
