building a box for a 15 inch sub

my bro bought a 15 memphis audio subwoofer. we wanna build a box for it but on the specs, its says that the box must be 2.5 cubic ft. wtf does that mean? if anybody can tell me the measurements in L*w*h.

That means the volume of the box is 2.5 feet^3...if that's easier for you to understand.

1ft x 1ft x 1ft =1ft^3 (cubed)
1ft x 1ft x 2.5ft= 2.5ft^3 (cubed)
Converting into inches
12in x 12in x 30in =2.5ft^3 = 4320in^3
Multiply your internal dimesions together (length, width, height) and it should be atleast 4321 cubic inches.
