Default p72-2 stamped on my head what does the -2 mean?

Hey guys I need some help. I've searched ti and ht with next to no results (at least no definitive answer)

I just bought a new starter (mine died) i puleld it , took to vatozone and got another.
Heres where it gets tricky...
I swear for the life of my the bolt will not line up in the top of the starter if the starter is flush with the block.
i have a gsr motor in an LS (what year i dont know) It seems that the starters might have changed a little in newer years. My car is a 95, naturally I bought a 95 starter for a gsr...
my block says p72-2 ... does that mean OBD II ? if so wouldn't that mean it is newer than 95 / 96 and most likely mean I have the WRONG starter?

please help -- what does p72-2 on the block mean? gsr ... what?

either one should fit just fine.
if nothing else just go back and exchange it for an LS one.
but as long as they are both for a manual it should fit.

I just had a question. Did you misspell Autozone in the first post or did you mean to call it vatozone.

Isnt the p72 on the head?

anyways All b-series manual starters are the same. It sounds like you have an auto starter, hence the bolts wont line up.

haha
vatozone on purpose (we call it that in az) lotsa mexicans in az and i guess its kinda racist to say - sorry haha.

but yes i think you're right p72 is stamped on the head mine says p72-2
meaning gsr (but obdII im guessing)

Heres the update
*******UPDATE*******
went back to Autozone, asked to see my old starter, i swore it would not go in so he pulls it out and crossreferences the honda part number, turns out 96+ gsr starter is diff than 95 or lower.

So i ordered a 96+ starter that matched my old part
aka

My motor is not a 95, but a 96-01 gsr swap

Thanks for your help, although nobody has definitively said what p72-2 means
IF YOU KNOW PLEASE REPLY!
if its obdII vs. like p72-1 might mean obd1? i dont know haha.

Thanks guys
